February 7th - Den Meeting

Dear Tiger Cub Parents,

Our next den meeting will take place on Tuesday, February 7th at 7:00 PM in Visitation Hall (Cafeteria).

James R. (Walter's dad) will be planning this meeting.  Deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office will be visiting with us to talk about fingerprints and fingerprint the boys.

Also, everyone should practice listening and talking during a family meal (Achievement 4F) for the "How I Tell It" unit in the Tiger Handbook.

We have now completed all five units in the Tiger Handbook as a den, and each boy who has completed all three achievements in each unit will receive his Tiger Badge later this month at the Pack's Blue and Gold Banquet.  I need to know which boys have completed all of the achievements.  If your son is ready to receive his Tiger Badge, please send me an e-mail, so that I can update my records and order the badges.

If your son has not competed all of the achievements, you still have time to make them up before the Blue and Gold Banquet.  You may consider using this den meeting with the Jefferson County Sheriffs as a substitute for Achievement 2G in the "Where I Live" unit.  You may also consider using the upcoming Go See It to Locust Grove as a substitute for Achievement 1G, if you did not make it to the Frazier History Museum.  Most of the achievements can be made up fairly easily, but if you cannot make them up by the date of the Blue and Gold Banquet, we will hand out Tiger Badges again at the Pack Crossover in May.  If you have any questions, or need any suggestions on how to make up an achievement, please let me know.

Here are some other important dates to remember:
  • Feb 18 - Go See It to Locust Grove. 11:00 AM.
  • Feb 26 - Blue and Gold Banquet. 12:00 Noon (Following 10:30 Mass)
See you all on Tuesday, and remember to keep working on those Tiger Track electives!
